Reinforced nylon body, withstand temperature from -20°C to +80°C. The steel shackleis chrome plated; the non-conductive shackle is made from nylon, withstandtemperature from -20°C to +120°C, ensuring the strength and deformation fracture noteasily.
Key Retaining Feature: When the shackle is open, the key can’t be removed.
Laser printing and logo engraving available if required.
All different colors available.
A nylon shackle is non-conductive, so it won’t create a path for electrical current if the lock is used near live or de-energized electrical equipment. A steel shackle, even chrome-plated, remains conductive and isn’t the right choice for that specific hazard. See our comparison of LOTO safety padlocks vs. standard padlocks for more on why this matters.
It physically blocks the key from being removed from the cylinder while the shackle is open, so a worker can’t accidentally walk away from an unlocked energy isolation point with the key already in hand.
The nylon body is rated to +80℃ while the nylon shackle is rated higher, to +120℃, because the shackle is the part more likely to sit closer to a heat source or hot equipment surface during actual use. Check both ratings against your environment, not just one.
KA (keyed alike) means multiple locks share one key, KD (keyed different) means each lock has its own unique key, and MK (master key) adds a supervisory key that opens all of them. The right system depends on whether workers need to share access or keep isolation points individually controlled.
Yes, laser printing, logo engraving, and 11 body colors are available, which is commonly used to color-code padlocks.
